Nergal Ruler of The UnderworldNergal, a centaur-like figure wielding a bow and arrow, is a powerful and complex deity from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, revered as the god of war, plague, destruction, and the underworld; seen as a bringer of pestilence, famine, and death. Nergal guides souls into the underworld through force and fear, and during one of his descents, he attempts to overthrow the Queen of the Underworld: Ereshkigal. Though his attempt to seize power fails, a deeper fate unfolds—they fall in love, and from that union, they reign side by side. His character evolved over millennia, reflecting both fearsome and protective aspects of divine power. While feared as a destroyer, Nergal was also seen as a protector: He could hear prayers, restore the dead to life, and protect agriculture and flocks.
Chiron The Healer Without a HomeChiron is the wise and immortal Demi-God centaur known for his knowledge of medicine, prophecy, music, and hunting. Unlike his kin, known for their unchecked passions and savage ways, Chiron—raised by Apollo after being abandoned by his parents—was a paragon of civility, intellect, and healing arts. He was a mentor to heroes like Achilles and Jason, embodying the Sagittarian traits of wisdom, teaching, and exploration. Injured by a poisoned arrow in an accident, Chiron—despite his vast knowledge of medicine—was unable to heal himself. This irony became the cornerstone of his enduring archetype: the Wounded Healer.
